NOTICE OF VACANCY – DISTRICT 4 CITY COUNCIL SEAT

The City of Midland City is accepting letters of interest from qualified individuals who wish to be considered for appointment to the vacant District 4 City Council seat.

Applicants must meet the qualifications required by Alabama law, including:

• Be a qualified elector of the City of Midland City.
• Have resided within District 4 for the period required by law.
• Continue to reside in District 4 throughout their term of office.

Interested individuals should submit a Letter of Interest that includes:

• Full name
• Residential address
• Telephone number and email address
• A brief statement outlining qualifications, community involvement, and reasons for seeking appointment to the district 4 Council seat.

Letters of interest must be submitted to the Midland City Clerk’s Office no later than day, August 17, 2026.

Following the application deadline, the Mayor and City Council will review all submissions, before making an appointment in accordance with Alabama law.
