The Midland City Senior Center is currently accepting applications for a CDL Driver. Applicants must possess a valid CDL license and have a safe driving record. This position is responsible for transporting senior citizens safely and professionally while providing courteous service to passengers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Safely operate Senior Center vehicles in accordance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport senior citizens to scheduled destinations in a timely manner.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle when necessary.
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices properly before transport.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or incidents immediately.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and records.
- Provide courteous and respectful customer service to all passengers.
- Follow all safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work well with senior citizens and the public.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to safely assist passengers with mobility needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience driving passengers or public transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.
- Ability to assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle.
- Ability to lift mobility equipment or assistive devices as needed.
